A new image survey compiled by Epinion on behalf of Ingeniøren newspaper has ranked Novo Nordisk as the most favourable place to work in Denmark among engineers.
Lego came second, followed by Novozymes, the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and Rambøll, with Grundfos, Danfoss, Vestas, Oticon and Cowi completing the top ten.
Novo Nordisk is the undisputed champ, leading the way 18 years in a row.
“We had hoped to be ranked highly, but we are quite humble to have won top prize, because it’s a close race every year and one can never be sure to win,” Michael Hallgren, the head of production at Novo Nordisk, told Ingeniøren.
“There are lots of very sound companies in this survey, and coming first or sixth is close to being identical.”

Historic DTU
DTU’s fourth-place ranking was its highest ever on the annually-published list, which ranked the university number 73rd back in 2004.
Other notable companies in the ranking were Haldor Topsøe (12), Maersk (21), Ørsted (26), FLSmidth (31), Arla Foods (42), the University of Copenhagen (69) and TDC (105). National rail operator DSB finished rock bottom.
The ranking listed 111 places of work across 11 different parameters based on the responses of 4,242 newly-educated engineers and 1,391 engineering students.
