245th US Independence Day at Tivoli

Classic Cadillacs, gospel tunes, cool movies, burger, milkshakes, fireworks and an appearance by the country’s favourite ever ambassador, Rufus Gifford (live at Sun 12:15) – it’s all going on this weekend as Tivoli celebrates the 245th anniversary of banishing the Brits to proclaim the united states (only 13 of them back then) of America. Food-wise, dig into fried chicken, burgers, big scoops and high-froth milkshakes, while Mrs Nimb is laying on classic barbecue dishes. The Groundhog Day-inspired Palm Springs is the film of choice (Sun 20:00) for the obligatory popcorn munching, after which July 4-style fireworks will wrap up the day.

Krigsmuseet – War Museum

Sail through the cisterns

Dinner on top of Glyptoteket
