Kasper Holten’s final production as artistic director, Die Frau Ohne Schatten (Kvinden uden Skygge – The Woman without a Shadow), returns to the iconic Opera House stage after receiving the Reumert Award and rave reviews aplenty.

Ann Petersen plays the spirit-turned-empress who can neither cast a shadow nor bear children. At the hands of her father, the king of the Spirit Realm, she must either cast a shadow or leave her husband by the 12th month of their marriage.

Cue high emotional intensity that will have audiences on the edge of their seats from start to finish. (GB)
