PULS: Everyday life upside down
opened March 27, open Mon-Wed and Fri 10:00-16:00, Thu 10:00-19:00, Sat-Sun 10:00-17:00; Experimentarium City, Trangravsvej 10-12, Cph K; from 105kr; experimentarium.dk

Get your pulse racing at Experimentarium City’s new exhibition, PULS – hverdagen på hovedet (PULS – everyday life upside down). Set in a 600 sqm oversized house, you could be forgiven for thinking you’ve turned into one of the Borrowers.

Pushing a shopping trolley in a human-sized hamster wheel is just one of the exhibition pieces meant to inspire movement. Others include Tarzan-style hanging from tea towels to turn off lights and knocking someone out of their armchair – modern day rodeo.

Remember the lasers in Mission Impossible? Experimentarium has a similar corridor but with strings, not lasers, you need to avoid.

Being able to jump high and having good hand-eye co-ordination are also advantages for getting through the house tasks.

The house also includes a bathroom where you have to bust a move in time to the rhythm. Even if you start out not performing well, you are effectively exercising ‘at home’.

The tasks are timed and meant to be completed in a couple of minutes.

Teams of 2-5 people register at ‘Midten’, where you enter your email so you can see and receive pictures of your team doing the eight activities.

It’s also the place to solve quizzes regarding physical fitness. Sensible shoes are recommended.
