Wedding website follows the trends in popping the question and finds brides are less inclined to wait for the man to ask the question
A new survey from wedding website Bryllup.dk has found that women are starting to catch up to their male counterparts in the proposal stakes.
A survey of 25,000 website visitors found that every fifth Danish bride last year took the initiative to pop the question to their husband-to-be.
When it comes to proposals from the men, every three out of five decided to go the traditional route and drop down on one knee to pop the question.
Author Anette WedMore Lund [Ed. yes that really is her name] from the wedding website told Newsmarket.dk that Danish brides are ‘independent and free enough to stop waiting and propose themselves’.
