Teenagers in Denmark are taking less drugs – most particularly cannabis, amphetamines and ecstasy – according to a new report from the health authority Sundhedsstyrelsen.
The report showed that just 1 percent of 15 to 16-year-olds in Denmark had tried amphetamines or ecstasy in 2015.
The report also showed that 13 percent of Danish teens had tried cannabis this year, while 1.5 percent of teens had tried LSD.
Finally, figures from the state police Rigspolitiet showed that the number of Danes dying from drug use was on the increase.
The report revealed that the number of people who had died due to drug-related reasons had risen to 263 in 2014 from 213 in 2013.
