DR reports that Mads Mikkelsen has been chosen to be a part of the 2016 Cannes Film Festival jury.

He will join actors such as Kirsten Dunst, Vanessa Paradis and Donald Sutherland in deciding who the worthy winners will be. George Miller, the Australian director behind the ‘Mad Max’ franchise, will serve as chairman of the jury.

Denmark’s year?
Denmark is well represented this year – and it’s not just Mads Mikkelsen who is making his country proud.

Danish director Nicolas Winding Refn’s latest film, ‘The Neon Demon’, has been nominated for the Palme d’Or.

Mikkelsen previously won the best actor award at Cannes in 2012 for his role in the film ‘Jagten’.
