There was a second shooting incident in Copenhagen early this morning.
One person was killed by gunshot wounds to the head and two police officers were injured in the incident which occurred at the synagogue on Krystalgade near Nørreport station. Police said that a suspect fled the scene wearing black pants and shoes and a light grey jacket.
Nørreport station and Frederiksborggade were both locked down. Sections of Strøget, the main pedestrian street, were also shut down and there was a massive police presence throughout the city, particularly around the lakes.
Police said that it is still too early to say whether the shooting is related to yesterday's shootings at Krudttønden in Østerbro.
