Nelly the elephant had a song written about her, but never a café as far we know.

But for Brian McKenna, the landlord of the Globe Irish pub, there was only one jumbo he had in mind for his new ice cream parlour/café in Frederiksberg.

Bon Bon at Andebakkesti 4 is named after a plastic elephant the Irishman bought in auction from the city’s 2011 Elephant Parade. It serves 36 homemade ice creams (the Irish coffee is recommended!) and makes its own cones in front of the customers.

“It’s a great pitstop before or after the park, where mum and dad can have a glass of wine while the kids unwind,” promises McKenna.
