A bible, a koran and a whole lot of nudity will be involved

This Thursday in Viborg at 13:00, controversial artist Uwe Max Jensen will team up with Somali artist Abdikarim in a happening designed to show that everyone, whatever race or religion they are, is equal in the eyes of God.

Jensen, who recently re-enacted the decapitation of the Little Mermaid while stark-bollock naked, will strip off again to walk hand-in-hand with an equally airy Abdikarim from the St Mathias Centre to the art gallery Art Bordel SOLD.

Uwe must be joking
As part of the happening – entitled ‘BLACK WHITE CHRISTIAN MUSLIM UNITED’ – the two artists will each hold their own respective holy book of choice in their free hand. Jensen will sport a bible and Abdikarim a koran.

“The happening is designed to let two people with different skin colours and religious background meet in mutual fraternisation – naked and humble in the eyes of god,” the artists wrote in a press release.

Jensen’s earlier exploits include using his own body fluids to make a painting out of urine in Brande, taking a dump in the Aarhus Museum of Art and urinating in a waterfall sculpture in Aarhus.
