There are few bigger names in the world of fashion than Vivienne Westwood, and the British icon didn’t disappoint when she guested at the Copenhagen Fashion Week last week on Thursday to present her collection ‘Anglomania, Autumn/Winter 2013-14’.

It was one of the absolute highlights of the week, if not the overall highlight. It was assumed Lady Vivienne would be there in person, but she wanted to save fuel on the airfare, so she stayed back in London − so I was informed by Vivienne Westwood’s design manager, Mark Spye.

The show was held at Børsen – one of the finest renaissance and most characteristic buildings in Copenhagen – and arranged/produced by Gallery for the Danish and international press and fashion scene, attracting a massive crowd of admirers and fashionistas.

Anglomania is a London-inspired collection that reflects the naval past and cultural diversity of the former British Empire. Vivienne Westwood’s punk roots shine through in her current collections thanks to a wide spectrum of Westwood trademarks: tartans, vivid prints, bold checks, knits and pretty magnolia prints, which were last used as a tribute to the historic Covent Garden Flower Market.
