Danish astronaut returning to Earth

Tonight Andreas Mogensen ends his ten-day adventure through space

Andreas Mogensen, the first Dane to enter space, is travelling back to Earth tonight.

Mogensen has spent ten days on the International Space Station with Kazakh Aydin Aimbetov and Russian Gennady Padalka.

They have conducted a number of scientific experiments, including some testing spacesuits and Google Glass.

World’s wildest roller-coaster ride
Before Mogensen lands, he has to endure a journey lasting 3 hours and 22 minutes through the atmosphere, which he himself described as “the world’s wildest roller-coaster ride”.

The Soyuz spaceship is expected to land at about 3 am near the town Jezkazgan in the middle of Kazakhstan.

The Danish media is already speculating about his future space missions.
