Three Danish police officers have joined the throng of young people headed to the Czech capital of Prague for the winter holidays.

According to the Czech news agency CTK, the officers are there to help keep an eye on the young Danes headed to Prague to party.

The cops are expected to be there until next Sunday.

In addition to the 900 Danes, about 1,800 Swedes and 300 Norwegians are expected in Prague over the next week.

Previous youth trips to Prague during the winter holidays have been rife with underage drinking, stabbings and other violence.

Last year, 284 underage youths were arrested for drinking and public intoxication. As of yesterday, police had not reported any similar incidents so far this year.

Cops help keep the peace
Danish police went to Prague for the first time in 2013, when young Danes were repeatedly accused of disturbing the peace and were guilty of several destructive and violent offences.

But according to the Prague Post, the presence of the Danish cops has helped keep the peace.
