Danish fleet racer Anne-Marie Rindom has today won the Laser Radial Women’s World Championship in Oman, reports DR.

The 24-years-old sailor from Aarhus won the championship, even though she finished 19th in the last race.

The world number two managed to hold off reigning world champion Marit Bouwmeester from the Netherlands and brings home another gold medal from a major competition.

In October, Rindom won the Semaine Olympique Francaise in La Rochelle, France.

Rindom started sailing at the age of five and is hoping to represent Denmark at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro next summer.

She placed 13th at the 2012 Olympics in London.
