The website of the Danish Parliament, folketinget.dk, has been hacked and is currently inaccessible.

Finn Tørngren Sørensen, the parliamentary press relations officer, confirmed this to Avisen.dk.

“It is correct that external access to Folketinget’s website has been closed. We are under a so-called ‘denial of service’ attack and have been since 10am today,” he said.

“It works in such a way that we receive so many requests for our website that the system is overloaded. Therefore we had to close access.”

Parliament does not know the source of the attack or when the site will be operational again.
