With weather prognosticators DMI promising a big storm hitting tomorrow, state railway operator DSB wasted no time in cancelling some trains and putting others on reduced schedules.

According to DSB’s website, the S-train lines Bx, E and H will be cancelled all day on Thursday. While initial reports said there would be no commuter train service at all after 9pm Thursday night, trains are now reported to run every 20 minutes as normal.

The A, B and C lines will run every 10 minutes on Thursday and every 20 minutes on Friday, except between 1pm and 7pm, during which time they will again run every ten minutes.

The intercity line to Bornholm is cancelled on Thursday due to the cancellation of the Bornholm ferry.

DSB expects train operations to get back to normal between Friday and Saturday night, and advised customers to check its website for updates.

The storm, which has been dubbed 'Bodil', is now expected to hit a few hours earlier than previously thought and strike in the early afternoon hours of Thursday.
