Nature authority Naturstyrelsen can at long last confirm that at least one female wolf has been roaming around Jutland for a while.

The Department of Bioscience at Aarhus University – through analysis of wolf droppings and dead livestock and wild game – has concluded there is a female wolf in Denmark to go with the several male wolves that have already been confirmed.

“We now know that there is at least one female wolf in Jutland,” said Naturstyrelsen head Trine Fugmann.

“If there are more, we will know in about a month’s time after more in-depth studies.”
