The fence between the tracks at Kastrup Airport’s train station is already in place, reports DR.

It has been set up by the company Sund og Bælt to prevent refugees and other persons from running over the tracks when DSB introduces ID checks of train passengers between Denmark and Sweden.

These checks are expected to begin on 4 January 2016.

Good fences make good neighbours
The fence runs along a 325 metre-long stretch and is the same kind used at sporting events and construction sites.

The setup is part of preparations for introducing ID checks on all trains from Copenhagen to Malmö. It is a precautionary measure to prevent passengers from crossing the tracks, thereby minimising the risk of accidents.
