The food magazine has recently revealed its list of the best hotels to stay and eat in the world which includes the 13th century Danish castle, Dragsholm Slot.
The magazine which told its readers that the food in the castle “is as dramatic as the setting” thanks to former Noma sous-chef Klaus Henrikson, placed the hotel second just behind Belcampo Hotel in Belize.
Whilst food at the castle is traditional and rustic, Bon Appetit noted that whilst the “creative exploration of local and house made ingredients” was a delight, that their favourite meal of their stay was breakfast – plates full of meat, cheese and rolls and accompanied by fresh pressed apple juice from the orchards.
