Traffic authority Vejdirektoratet is warning of slippery conditions across the country this morning. Light snow continues to fall in some places, and although it is pretty, it could be tricky for morning commuters.

“Drivers should watch out for black ice,” the duty officer at Vejdirektoratet told Ekstra Bladet. “We have had reports of dangerous ice on Motor Ring 4 and north of Ishøj.”

Black ice is often nearly invisible on the road, and motorists are often surprised when they start to slide on what they thought was just a wet road.

Most of the major arteries have been salted, but caution should still be taken, especially on side roads, bike paths and while walking.
