A 33-year-old male newspaper carrier was found dead on Langesund street near Tåsingegade in Copenhagen's Østerbro neighbourhood on Saturday morning. While first suspecting that some sort of attack may have been involved, police now believe that there was nothing criminal behind the man's death.

Robert Jensen from the Copenhagen Police told TV 2 News on Saturday that police had identified the man, who had damage to his face and his knuckles, and had learned that he suffered from a disease which may have contributed to his death.

By mid-afternoon on Saturday, police and doctors had determined that the injuries were caused in the man's fall. Additional information on the man's health condition led police to rule out foul play.

Police were notified of the body lying in the street just after 6am on Saturday morning from a man who works in the area. They examined the location for several hours, looking for clues to the cause of death.
