A jogger taking a run early this morning found the body of a middle-aged man along the shores of Kolding Fjord in southern Jutland.
Police have cordoned off the area while forensic experts and technicians investigate.
The investigation is in its early stages, but police have not ruled out foul play.
“There is reason to be suspicious,” police spokesperson Carsten Thostrup told TV2 News.
“The man has been in the water for some time and there are injuries we cannot explain.”
Police said they always launch a full-scale investigation when a death is considered suspicious.
