The 'Amour' was in the air

Michael Haneke, the Austrian director of his country’s Oscar-winning film ‘Amour’ last year, is this year’s recipient of the Sonning Prize. He received the award at the Assembly Hall at the University of Copenhagen (KU)

Pictured above are (left-right) KU dean Ralf Hemmingsen, Austrian ambassador Ernst-Peter Brezovsky, KU associate professor Peter Schepenkring Eler, who made the presentation speech, film director Lars von Trier, Haneke and his wife

And then afterwards, Haneke was the guest of honour at a special dinner at Brezovsky’s residence
