This week's TV: A fresh take on thin dark plotlines
The plotlines of crime dramas are often predictable but new series The Shadow Line is refreshingly different.
Starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, the drama focuses on a murder investigated by both the police and the criminals and the different methods they use to solve it.
British documentary My Social Network Stalker explores the crimes of a different sort, which left Ruth Jeffrey recovering from abuse of an online stalker.
Elsewhere, watch comedian Russell Brand’s Messiah Complex (DR3, Fri 22:00), while British documentary House of Surrogates (DR1, Mon 22:05) looks at the lives of Indian women who are paid to be surrogate mothers.
A little more action please
Mel Gibson has earned himself a bit of a reputation and one that is reflected in Get the Gringo – a crime film that will keep you hooked.
