The plotlines of crime dramas are often predictable but new series The Shadow Line is refreshingly different.

Starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, the drama focuses on a murder investigated by both the police and the criminals and the different methods they use to solve it.

British documentary My Social Network Stalker explores the crimes of a different sort, which left Ruth Jeffrey recovering from abuse of an online stalker.

Elsewhere, watch comedian Russell Brand’s Messiah Complex (DR3, Fri 22:00), while British documentary House of Surrogates (DR1, Mon 22:05) looks at the lives of Indian women who are paid to be surrogate mothers.

A little more action please

Mel Gibson has earned himself a bit of a reputation and one that is reflected in Get the Gringo – a crime film that will keep you hooked.

TV2, Fri 23:25 Get the Gringo

If you’re after a fast paced thriller try Unstoppable (TV3+, Mon 20:00) starring Denzel Washington or The International (TV3+, Wed 21:05).

In with a shot

With the Hungarian Grand Prix (TV3+, Fri – Sun all day) many fans are wondering if Hamilton can take the title for the third year in a row.

Meanwhile, the last stage of the Tour de France (TV2, all day Fri – Sun) will take place on Sunday with Italian Vincenzo Nibali favorite to take the race.
