More charges against Funen 'red car' molester
Suspect accused of attacking three more girls and gun and explosives violations
A man who has confessed to two counts of assault on schoolgirls on southern Funen has now been accused of three more sexual offences, according to Funen Police.
The public prosecutor in Viborg has filed a final indictment containing five charges relating to sexual offences against the accused who has come to be known as the ‘man in the red car’.
The indictment also includes charges relating to the possession and manufacture of firearms and explosives.
Assaults on two school girls in October and November 2012 led to an extensive investigation and search.
Case broken by accident
Over 200 men gave DNA samples, but police couldn’t break the case until the summer of 2013 when they arrested the man in connection with a fire in the Skibhus neighborhood in Odense.
While making the arrest officers found explosives and child pornography.
The trial will begin in Odense on 4 November.
