The Korean Embassy very sportingly held a reception on Saturday to mark the tenth anniversary of a national defeat – the thrilling final of the women’s handball at the 2004 Olympics that Denmark won in extra time.

Korean ambassador Young-sam Ma (all three photos) was at hand to recall his memories of the game, and he was helped by a good turnout from the victorious Danes that included Trine Nielsen, Josephine Touray, Camilla Ingemann, Karen Brødsgaard and Kristine Frøsig-Andersen, and of course the coach, Jan Pytlick.

Ma delighted his guests by organising a live video link back to Seoul where four of the Korean team were waiting to talk to their victors
