Six of the eleven missing boys from India found in Vanløse
Entire handball team disappeared during tournament in Dronningelund
UPDATE: Six of the missing boys have now been found in Vanløse, Copenhagen. According to the police, the boys told them they ran away to escape corporal punishment from their coaches who tended to beat them when they lost matches. Five are still missing.
ORIGINAL STORY: An entire handball team consisting of eleven boys from India, all aged 12 to 20, mysteriously disappeared on Saturday morning during an international handball tournament in Dronninglund in Jutland and have now been reported officially missing.
According to northern Jutland police, none of the boys speak English or know anyone in Denmark.
Coaches back in India
The team’s coaches, who went back home to India on Sunday on their scheduled return flight, have no idea where they might have gone.
The police, who are in possession of the boys’ identity papers and their belongings, have received two reports of possible sightings: one in Aalborg and another on a train heading towards Aarhus. Neither of the reports led them to the boys.
If anyone knows where they might be now, they can contact the police on 114.
