A Faroese fashion house has lost its court case to prevent the sale of cheap imitations of the sweater made famous by actress Sofie Gråbøl in The Killing.
Gudrun & Gudrun's garment became a must-have item after its appearance in the detective TV series filmed in Copenhagen. The jumper even had its own tribute website.
A snip at a sixth of the price
The case began last year when Gudrun & Gudrun launched a legal claim against a Danish company, Stof og Sy, for making a cheaper version of the sweater, albeit one that the customer needed to make themselves. The kit cost 375 kroner compared to the original version's cost of 2,250 kroner.
