The University of Copenhagen (KU) has announced plans to close several humanities courses for admission this year due to financial struggles.
Students who were looking forward to studying Finnish, Turkish or Balkan studies will have to apply elsewhere.

A total of 13 small or medium-sized disciplines will no longer be offered or will have to be merged into combined courses.

According to the dean, Ulf Hedetoft, the university is under financial pressure trying to make the savings requested by the Danish government. (LR)
