Every three weeks, the Copenhagen Adventure Group embarks on a mass cycle or walk followed by a refreshing visit to the Brewery Skovlyst. Join the next one at noon on May 4 at the Hareskov S-tog station (free; sign up at meetup.com)

‘Get the Game Started’ is a group of Copenhageners who meet up around the city to play board and card games. On May 4, they’ll be at Cafe Retro Nørrebro for an afternoon of pre-summer games (Jægersborggade 14, Cph N; 15:00)

Once per month, Copenhagen Theatre Circle meets up for ‘Pints and Poetry’. According to the organisation, both the pints and the poetry are optional, but you might just catch an impromptu performance (The Globe Bar, Norregade 45, Cph K; Mon May 5, 19:00)

American Expats in CPH and Wine and Beer Society meetup groups are joining forces. Sign up in advance online, then show up to a festival on May 3 to taste over 300 wines, beers, and gourmet foods (Bulowsvej 34, Frederiksberg C; 15:30; 230kr; sign up at meetup.com)

Cafe and creative space Republikken is proud of their laser cutter. If you want to try it out for yourself, there are two weekly opportunities: Wednesday classes and Friday social events (Vesterbrogade 26, Cph; May 2, 14:30; May 7, 16:45; sign up on Facebook)

Xinxin Gudbjörnsson (‘The Vampire Show’) is filming a movie this summer … and she’s looking for a star. If you’re 25-35, non-Danish and look like a scientist, the part is yours. No acting experience required! If you’d like to audition, send your photo and info to xinxin@xinxin.dk
