In an age when Rasmus Seebach and Nik & Jay hog the headlines, it is a relief for all that is correct that there are musicians like the Danish pianist and composer Agnes Obel.
Not nearly as well-known as she should be (many grown-up men would struggle to admit listening to something so sentimentally pure), the Berlin resident is back in the country promoting her second album, Aventine – a darker, more introspective and obsessively detailed album compared to her debut and coup de maitre, Philarmonics.
