In an age when Rasmus Seebach and Nik & Jay hog the headlines, it is a relief for all that is correct that there are musicians like the Danish pianist and composer Agnes Obel.

Not nearly as well-known as she should be (many grown-up men would struggle to admit listening to something so sentimentally pure), the Berlin resident is back in the country promoting her second album, Aventine – a darker, more introspective and obsessively detailed album compared to her debut and coup de maitre, Philarmonics.

Come and decide for yourself.

American pop darling and actress Miley Cyrus will be filling the floor at Forum’s expansive concert hall.  Swapping Montana for Sodom, she might not be everybody’s cup of tea admittedly. Then again, the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus is still only 21 years old.

It’s always refreshing to see a band with ties in underground culture permeate the upper echelons of society and gain some respect from the vox populi. Top booking, class act.
