A snowball fight came to a violent end yesterday when a 32-year-old man from Roskilde repeatedly knocked a 16-year-old boy’s head into a wall.

The boy had been involved in a snowball fight with three of his friends, when a snowball went astray and hit the window of the man’s flat. The man then rushed out and grabbed the boy.

“The resident knocked the victim’s head into a wall a few times because he was annoyed about the snowball,” said police from central Zealand. “Then he went back into his flat.”

Police were notified of the incident around noon yesterday. They went to the area and found the boy with redness and swelling on the side of his face. Police said all four boys pointed out the man’s apartment. The assailant was arrested and charged with assault. He was questioned and released. He will later be summoned to a hearing about the case.

The window was not damaged.
