A 22-year-old man was assaulted and raped in a city centre park early this morning.

The man is reported to have spoken with two men in HC Ørstedsparken about the possibility of having sex, but decided not to go through with it.

He was not allowed to leave, however, and was forced to the floor and raped by one of the men while the other one kept watch.

He was then ordered to stay on the floor, after which they fled. He then sought help in a nearby 7-Eleven.

“We received a phone call at 4:29 from a man in a 7-Eleven on Nørre Voldgade in which he explains that he has been raped in HC Ørstedsparken,” Dannie Rose from Copenhagen Police told Berlingske.

The man who committed the rape is described as being a foreigner who spoke Danish with an accent. He wore a black vest and had ‘Muhammed’ tattooed on his right arm. The other man is described as a foreigner who only spoke English.

HC Ørstedsparken is well known for being a location where gay men meet for sex.
