Since last Monday, there have been six shootings in Copenhagen and its suburbs, the most dramatic of which occurred last night.

Shortly before 8pm, more than 20 people were involved in a shooting on Lundtoftegade in Nørrebro. At least 20 shots were fired from three different weapons.

The drama arose when a group of about 20 people clashed with another large group. The police suspect that the two groups are gangs.

Right after the shots were fired, everyone split up and fled the residential area either by car or by foot.

“There have been found marks from projectiles on four parked cars, the entrance to an apartment complex and the wall of a housing complex, which was occupied at the time,” Dan Aakerhjem Sørensen, the head of investigations for the Copenhagen Police, told Politiken.

While police are not certain that anyone was hit in the shooting incident, they do suspect it after finding blood at the scene.

“We have found trails of blood out there, but not a lot. We do not think that anyone was severely wounded,” said Sørensen.
