The White House correspondent for TV2, Jesper Steinmetz, has caught the attention of the internet after turning up for work dressed in a suit on the top-half and cargo shorts and flip flops on the bottom-half.

The photo which shows Steinmetz finishing his section was taken by Reddit user megaluren and it quickly went viral.

The photo soon spread to other social media sites.

The original poster of the photograph had claimed that Steinmetz cycled to the White House from the beach, having asked TV2’s cameraman where they had come from, but the reporter confirmed later on his Twitter that he had actually cycled from his house.

The image of the rather tanned looking correspondent, prompted one user to write that Denmark now has an index for how tanned you are – aptly named the “Steinmetz Index”.

After the image went viral, one Twitter user asked Steinmetz if he actually went for margaritas afterwards, as the Independent claimed. Steinmetz replied with “I wish” and thanked the Independent for making him sound more glamorous!

Many people have now started to compare Steinmetz to Ron Burgundy from the hit film ‘Anchorman’ and are calling for him to end his next section from the White House with “Stay classy D. C.”
