A whopping 56 percent of girls and boys aged 15 are physically active for less than a quarter of an hour a day, according to a study by the National Centre for Social Research (SFI).

SFI surveyed 16,293 students in the fifth, seventh and ninth grace at danish public schools and found there is a long way to go before the school reforms’ requirement for 45 minutes of daily exercise becomes a reality.

According to Karsten Froberg, a lecturer at the Institute of Sports Science and Clinical Bio-mechanics at the university of Southern Denmark, many teachers do not know how to incorporate movement into their classes.
