Rainy and cloudy Eurovision weather

Showers moving in on Copenhagen from the south

It looks like it's going to be a cloudy weekend with occasional showers – bad news for those looking forward to watching the final of Eurovision at one of the outside venues around town, although there isn't much rain currently forecast for Saturday evening.

There's currently a low pressure zone moving up through the country from the south. It will bring occasional showers, and 6mm of rain is expected to fall on Copenhagen tonight, according to DMI, the national weather institute.

Saturday will be cloudy and mostly dry, with some brief moments of sun, before it gets wet again on Sunday with up to 6mm of rain forecast again. Temperatures will stay around 10 degrees and there will be a constant light breeze blowing in from west.

Maybe more rainbows
Showers last night created a rainbow last night visible from the city's Rainbow Square – dubbed the international symbol of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender pride and renamed the Eurovicious Pride Square this week for the duration of the competition.

Rainbows can be seen if you look at a rain shower with the sun behind you shining at a low angle.
