DSB head Jesper Lok stepping down
The CEO of the national railway provider DSB, Jesper T Lok, has decided to step down from his position after spending just over two years at the helm.
Jesper T Lok will officially step down when DSB finds a replacement – by 31 August 2015 at the latest – after which he will take over at an undisclosed company with global activities.
“In DSB’s newly-published interim financial report, we concluded that DSB has basically accomplished its ‘A Healthy DSB’ goal,” Peter Schütze, the head of DSB’s board, said in a press release.
“So we are ready to embark on the next stretch of DSB’s strategic journey. In connection with this, our CEO has decided to seek new challenges and the board will find Jesper’s replacement over the next few months.”
New trains needed
Just last week, DSB revealed that it will need to spend between 20 and 22 billion kroner on 275 new train sets by 2030.
Lok took over as the CEO of DSB back in May 2012.
