Ten professional organisations in Odense are taking action to protest against the planned budget cuts in funds for children.

Odense Municipality wants to save at least 28.5 million kroner on children’s funding next year.

Using a Facebook badge saying ’Stop børnebesparelser’ (‘Stop cuts in funds for kids’), the group hopes online sympathisers will join the campaign and help spread the word.

The badges – a red STOP sign on a green background – will go online at noon today and will be sent out to organisations in Odense that all work with children, including teachers, nurses and social workers.
