On September 6 and 7, the 2023 Nordic Blockchain Conference took place at the iconic Langelinie Pavilion in Copenhagen.
The annual flagship event is organised by the Nordic Blockchain Association (NBA) – a non-profit organisation facilitating the largest professional Web3 network in the Nordics.
The conference aims to educate attendees and promote the application of the blockchain as a transformative tool to benefit society and the environment, via two days of panels, speeches, workshops and events – including an in-house NFT art gallery and a hackathon.
“The Nordic Blockchain Conference allows us to meet and greet, exchange experiences, and build awareness and knowledge to sustain the future and provide necessary assistance to the transformation to Web3,” says NBA’s chief product and marketing officer Nynee Mee Pilgaard.
Denmark’s exciting blockchain industry
“I see Denmark and the Nordic countries as having high-quality projects, businesses and labour within technology. We are talking about highly educated people who travel the world to gain inspiration, and we are already known for innovation and excellent infrastructure to grow tech,” says Pilgaard.
“This year we have had remarkable speakers, attendees, and businesses come from near and far. Copenhagen is also home to the European Blockchain Centre, which is a leading institution that conducts research and develops blockchain-based systems and solutions.”
Pilgaard heralds this year’s conference as a major success and looks ahead to an even brighter future: “my aspirations are to grow the community and pump even more quality into next year’s conference,” she says.
Beyond the annual conference, the NBA hosts monthly Web3 events for networking and partnership to aid the Nordic advancement in Web3.
