Immerse yourself in Chinese history, culture, food – and get an adrenaline rush while you’re at it – at our next Connect Club event, taking place at the Copenhagen Dragon Boat Festival.
Dragon boat racing is a Chinese watercraft tradition stretching back over 2000 years. The Copenhagen Dragon Boat Festival, now in its eighth consecutive year, combines sport, culture and history to share those traditions with an international audience.
The festival was initiated by more than 50 Chinese associations, Danish local communities and Chinese-Danish companies, and it enjoys strong support from authoritative institutions such as the Chinese Embassy in Denmark and the Chinese Cultural Centre in Copenhagen.
This year, two days of racing events will once again take place at Copenhagen’s beautiful Sydhavn (South Harbour) – with a larger-than-ever turnout expected.

The festival will be spread across both shores of the harbor, with a variety of food, art, cultural events and exhibitions.
Head down to the festivities and meet likeminded people for a day or two of open-minded socialising, cultural discovery, and street food.
