The Copenhagen Post’s readers are warmly invited to a guided, behind-the-scenes tour of Lyngby Town Hall, hosted by Casper Strunge, a local politician and prominent member of the Municipal Council in Lyngby-Taarbæk.
This event offers a rare opportunity to explore one of Greater Copenhagen’s most iconic municipal buildings — Lyngby Town Hall.
🏛️ About Lyngby Town Hall
Completed in 1941, Lyngby Town Hall is a listed building and a well-preserved example of Danish 20th-century functionalism, designed by architects Hans Erling Langkilde and Ib Martin Jensen.
With its curved marble façade, copper-clad top floor, and classic council chamber, the building reflects both architectural ambition and municipal heritage. A major restoration completed in recent years has reopened original features while modernising the building’s interior for today’s public use.
During the tour, you will explore the building and learn how local government functions in Denmark.
