On Tuesday, Terminal 1 – or the former domestic terminal – Terminal 1 – will be brought back to life in a new and modern form.
It will be used to welcome world leaders and thousands of international guests when Denmark takes over the EU presidency, Copenhagen Airport wites on LinkedIn.
The former domestic terminal has undergone a thorough transformation and now appears as an exclusive terminal, where 20,000 international political guests will be welcomed over the next six months.
In the newly renovated terminal, delegations and heads of state will have an experience that reflects Danish design tradition and efficient operation and security at the highest level.
New standards for international guests
The transformation is based on collaboration across the entire airport – from architects and craftsmen to cleaning staff and technicians – all with one common goal: to create a terminal that both increases capacity and sets a new standard for how international guests are received at Copenhagen Airport.
The result is an elegant, safe and functional arrival and departure hall, which is ready to be put into use.
In the future, parts of Terminal 1 will be open to passengers.
This will give even more people the opportunity to experience the beautiful design and new facilities as an integrated part of the airport.
