COVID-19 vaccinations to be completed by July

Health authority sets date to June 27 and reveals that an additional 4 million doses of Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine are on the way

The government has planned for everyone (who wants it) in Denmark to be vaccinated for COVID-19 by July.

According to the vaccination calendar on the website of the health authority, Sundhedstyrelsen, everyone should have received their second and final dose by June 27.

More doses on the way
In related news, a new EU agreement with Pfizer/BioNTech means that 3.9 million additional doses are on the way to Denmark.

That’s about 1.75 percent of the population.

And medicines agency, Lægemiddelstyrelsen, Denmark has pre-ordered enough vaccines to cover 18.8 million people.

As a result, there will be enough doses to service about three times the country’s population.
