With more and more international travellers venturing abroad these days, perhaps it’s once again prudent to sally forth with one of those overnight expense rankings.
And to perhaps no-one’s surprise, Copenhagen finds itself ranked among the most expensive cities to stay in.
According to a September 2021 survey by Cheaprooms.co.uk, the Danish capital was ranked fifth overall with an average price of 83 UK pounds per night for the cheapest available double room.
Only Zurich (£113), Hamburg (£95), Milan (£92) and Reykjavík (£91) were found to be more expensive.

Affordable in Istanbul
At the opposite end of the spectrum, Istanbul offered up the most affordable average price at just £15, preceded by Riga, Prague, Moscow and Krakow.
While it seems dour reading for some, there may be some good news for travellers hunting for a bargain as only centrally-located hotels rated at least three stars were considered for the survey.
