FC Copenhagen bow out with another draw

The Lions finally got their first goal in the Champions League as young guns battle to preserve notable home record

FC Copenhagen kept its impressive home record in Champions League intact following a 1-1 draw with Borussia Dortmund last night.

Håkan Haraldsson got the equaliser for the Lions, who thus avoided going goalless through the group stage.

The atmosphere was special all night, with the S12 section providing boisterous entertainment and support (see video below), though it will likely lead to a hefty fine from UEFA.

Parken the fortress
The draw means that FCK has still only lost one Champions League match at home in club history – a 0-2 loss to Real Madrid back in 2013.

Along the way, the likes of Barcelona, Manchester United, Benfica, Juventus have all failed to win in Parken Stadium, with Manchester City, Sevilla and now Dortmund failed to do so this season.

However, the result sees the Danes end on just three points in Group G, good enough for last place and an exit from European football this season.
