Visit the Workers Museum and experience a powerful story of struggle, solidarity, and social progress in the exhibition We are the Workers. On a guided tour, you’ll meet the many voices of Danish workers through time — housemaids, factory hands, and office clerks — each with their own story of hope and hardship.
Walk through the cold attic home and the tiny servant quarters and feel what was at stake when people fought for rights we now take for granted — like the 8-hour workday and the right to vacation.
Learn how collective action changed lives, and how leisure, education, and equality became part of everyday life.
Work-life balance and quiet quitting aren’t new concepts — they have deep roots in the long struggle for fair working conditions.
Let our guides bring the exhibition to life — with insights, stories, and context that will stay with you long after your visit.
Unluck free entrance plus a guided tour
Every Thursday in July and August, you can enjoy free entry to the museum and a free guided tour in English. This summer, the Workers Museum is part of CopenPay – a city-wide initiative that allows visitors to “pay” for experiences with actions.
At the Workers Museum, the action is to visit a working-class neighborhood in Nordvest. Take a selfie featuring the functionalist station building at Nørrebro Station and show it at the entrance.Read more and book your ticket here.
