Phantom Limbs

Combining architecture, sculpture, and design, the collaborative duo benandsebastian have created a solo exhibition inspired by the phenomena of phantom limbs. Phantom limb is a neurological condition that occurs when one can still feel a body part that has been amputated. The British/Danish duo Ben Clement and Sebastian de la Cour describe their collaboration as a series of productive misunderstandings.

Artefacts and museum paraphernalia from Designmuseum Danmark and the Medical Museum, such as old display cases and antique prosthetic limbs, create the exhibitionÂ’s rich atmosphere. This, their first solo exhibition in Copenhagen, is presented in conjunction with the Walk the Plank Award for design.
