Last week, the interactive museum IKONO opened in the heart of Copenhagen. Boldly merging art and technology, its immersive and visually-arresting exhibitions tap into the new ways that people – especially young adults – enjoy cultural experiences and entertainment.
Opening to the public today with a party on Refshaleøen, and running until 16 June, Copenhagen Photography Festival is the largest photography festival in the Nordics, comprising exhibitions, networking activities, talks, parties and events.

Art Matter displays contemporary art throughout the cities of Copenhagen and Malmö, with over 70 display spaces. Artists can show their art by talks, performances and exhibitions.
In 2021, the artist Jens Haaning’s artwork ‘Take the Money and Run’ saw him borrow half a million kroner in cash from Kunsten Museum of Modern Art in Aalborg for a visual representation of European salaries, and instead supply two empty frames for exhibition. After Haaning refused to pay it back and the museum launched a legal case, the two have now settled out of court for an undisclosed sum.
