Sunny west side, but cold east coast

Warm weekend weather in most of the country, but cold winds will keep temperatures low in Copenhagen

It's going to be a lovely sunny weekend across most of Denmark this weekend, according to DMI, the national meteorological institute.

Both Saturday and Sunday will bring dry summer weather with temperatures up to 20 degrees in the hottest places in Jutland.

Go west, young man
But it may still be too early for Copenhageners to pull their new shorts out of the closet, as the east-facing coasts on Zealand will be hit by mild to strong winds with temperatures between 10 to 12 degrees – very similar to the weather of the past few days.

While Copenhageners just have to go west to enjoy some sunlight hours, they should think twice if they suffer from pollen allergies.

The eastern winds will bring an extremely high amount of birch pollen, which last week reached a record high.
